TrainTable latest info!
Hi,
For all of you who are wondering where is TrainTable: the application is still alive, and I am sorry if the April update isn't working as well as the previous version.
I worked hard all April to rewrite all the code according to the new data scheme (Thanks Trenitalia for making me do that!), and evidentely it seems that the new one isn't as good as the previous.
The latest update brought some improvements as well other than making the app working again. I spent a lot of time trying to optimize the Table Views and, in fact, now the program is less memory-hungry, and , of course, I implemented the "more results" feature.
So you'll probably say what's next... Well, since iPhone OS 3.0 was announced, I had to change my plans a little and focus on making the app run well on the new system. That is pretty much completed, and I'm designing a new user interface with some new features... (of course I'm restoring the services part and the station picker). So the project is definitely not dead.
Then, please remember that this isn't my full time job, I'm enrolled in an University, and so have to study, this is why updates doesn't come out so often...
Thanks for reading,
Lorenzo

TrainTable folìes!
Hi,
I'd like to say thank you to all of you who downloaded my iPhone application, TrainTable.
It has been a long time since when I decided to develop it, and I really cannot believe that it reached such a great success! It means a lot to me...
Sincerely I don't know what else to say, but I really appreciate all of you who have contacted me and bought the app!

Thank you all again,
Lorenzo

Some news (April 2008)
Hi,
I'm writing to inform you of the progresses of my project and apologize for the bad experience with the last dotakeys:mac release (b6)
That release was intended only to add support for the Invoker, a simple thing to do. Instead, it caused many problems and I invite you to not install. I'll also remove it from Sparkle so it doesn't hurt you with that update.
Now the reason: before beginning to work on that version I had some problems with my files and when I recovered them I didn't realize that the copies I had rescue were old, so I began working on b6 with that files that, being old, had the first and very buggy lifebars support. I've been aware of this only some weeks ago and that time I wrote a post on the forum; I don't know how many of you have read that post.
However the development of wKeys goes forward and I've finish to compile the event taps manager plugin that adds to it the lifebars and inventory shortcuts (1-6) support. If you don't care about dotakeys:mac but want these features just send me an email and I'll send you a pre-release version of wKeys with that plugin working.
Finally if you want. you could take a look to the develop section of the project and download the first version of the class protocols you have to use to develop wkplugins.

Writing some things...
Hi all
In these days of flu (yes, flu, just when I begin my courses after holidays, d'oh!) I've been thinking on my projects and on the contents of the site. Now that the temperature is gone and the headache seems to go I'm refreshing something the pages: I've added a new section in the project directory about the new application I'm currently developing, wKeys, plus I'm writing the first things that pass in my mind in the blog section.
I look forward to get my broadband connection soon, so I'll have the site server in my place and write pages in some decent language like php or something else, writing pure html for every page is annoying.
Also, during dev-breaks I think it'd be a nice idea to publish here some custom classes or tutorials I've used in my apps. Learning Cocoa seems difficult, but with the right tools it's simply easy but still poerwful, and nothing you can imagine is impossible.

regards

The new site is arrived!
The new layout is almost completed. Now the only thing that remains is the content.
I plan to use the home page as a sort of news page, where you can find the latest informations about projects and important blog entries or something else.
I hope you all will find the navigation easy, however if you have any comment or suggestion, feel free to send me an email.

Lorenzo
